Setting Boundaries is what it sounds creating the lines on the map of you to define where you start and end. What it really means is what amount of energy are you allotting to the world and people you are interacting and how much are you willing to invest.
It entails appreciating and respecting both your own needs, feelings, and limits as well as those of others. Establishing boundaries requires self-awareness, or understanding what feels right and wrong, as well as what you are and are not comfortable with. It then comes down to communicating clearly.
Gently but firmly express your boundaries and expectations when you speak up. Recall that boundaries serve as bridges to improved relationships and increased self-respect rather than as walls. Thus, create them with love and implement them with dignity.
